At the time of my last entry (2 weeks ago?) the much anticipated off season was in full swing. My glorious time off has been cut short. A couple of random calls from random guys and some random calls from some very important guys (some of these calls were received at 3am thanks to the time change!) has put me in position to race the Tour of Guatemala (13stages at the end of October in the mountains of Guatemala ) . I still do not know what to think about this race. On one hand it is an amazing opportunity to race a high quality race in a part of the world I have never seen before. However, on the other hand, I am both mentally and, to a certain extent, physically submerged in a thick off season haze. Not to mention I had some cool events planned with KT for those weeks. I guess there is not much I can do about it other than keep my head up, mouth shut, and up the training hours.
So, I guess what I am trying to say is: Is there any one out there that feels like doing 4hr rides with me for the next week?
